Sammon likely to partner Long up front
Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni will be forced to make a change to his team for tomorrow night's World Cup qualifier with Austria at the Aviva.
Irish captain Robbie Keane has been ruled out with a calf injury so Kevin Doyle has been called up having being left out of Trapattoni's original 23 man squad for the games with Sweden and Austria.
However, the Wolves striker is likely to be on the bench with Conor Sammon in line to partner Shane Long up front.
Glenn Whelan has recovered from the ankle injury that kept him out of Friday's draw in Stockholm so he is set to replace Paul Green in central midfield.
