Adebayor on the bench for Spurs

Emmanuel Adebayor will be the bench this afternoon following his late return from the African Nations Cup as Tottenham attempt to leapfrog Chelsea into third with victory over Newcastle at White Hart Lane.

Lewis Holtby has been handed his full debut while Kyle Naughton is chosen ahead of Benoit Assou-Ekotto at left-back.

Newcastle have stuck with the same XI that beat Chelsea last weekend.
