Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has thrown new £12m signing Daniel Sturridge into the fray for his side’s FA Cup third-round clash with non-league Mansfield at the One Call Stadium this afternoon.

Former Chelsea striker Sturridge is one of eight changes to the team that defeated Sunderland 3-0 on their last outing, with Brad Jones, Sebastian Coates, Joe Allen, Suso, Jonjo Shelvey, Jack Robinson and Jamie Carragher all drafted in, the latter as captain.
