Wilson confirms broken leg

Republic of Ireland and Stoke City defender Marc Wilson has confirmed he suffered a broken fibula in yesterday’s 0-0 Barclays Premier League draw with Sunderland at the Britannia Stadium.

Wilson injured his left leg as he made a challenge on Black Cats striker Steven Fletcher just a few minutes into the second half and the Republic of Ireland international had to be carried off on a stretcher.
