Aston Villa striker Darren Bent was axed for the third time in four games for the home Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich.

Christian Benteke was preferred up front, with Villa’s former Norwich boss Paul Lambert also recalling midfielder Marc Albrighton and defender Chris Herd in place of Stephen Ireland and the injured Nathan Baker.
