There are 12 Premier League clubs involved in the Capital One Cup tonight.

Aston Villa are still looking for their first win of the new season as they prepare to host Tranmere Rovers.

Republic of Ireland defender Ciaran Clark is suspended for tonight's game, which will force Villa manager Paul Lambert to make at least one change to his under-performing side.

Wigan are facing a tricky tie tonight away to in-form Nottingham Forest, who are likely to start with both Andy Reid and Simon Cox in their side.

Elsewhere, Fulham will travel to Hillsborough to play Sheffield Wednesday, QPR are at home to Walsall, Norwich host Scunthorpe, while Southampton are away to Stevenage.

Stoke host Swindon, Sunderland and Swansea are also at home tonight against Morecambe and Barnsley while West Ham host Crewe and West Brom travel to face Yeovil.

All of those games will kick-off at 7.45pm, but there is an 8pm start at the Madejski Stadium where Reading will be playing host to Peterborough.
