Aguero to miss Anfield trip

Champions Manchester City are without last season’s top scorer Sergio Aguero for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Liverpool.

The Argentina striker suffered a knee injury in last week’s defeat of Southampton and is expected to be sidelined until mid-September.

Midfielder Gareth Barry (abdominal) is set for a reserves outing but defender Micah Richards (ankle) is still out of action.
