Alex Ferguson has confirmed Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is yet to attempt a comeback from his chronic bowel complaint.

Fletcher has been absent since December after United confirmed the precise mystery “virus” that had been affecting the midfielder since the previous campaign.
