Marco Tardelli today insisted goalkeeper Shay Given will be fit for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2012 opener against Croatia on Sunday.

Despite the assurances of goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly yesterday, there were eyebrows raised this morning when the 36-year-old went through a gentle work-out away from the main group at the Municipal Stadium in Gdynia.
