Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish will hold talks with club owner Randy Lerner in the next 24 hours which will decide whether he will pay the price for a season of underachievement, Press Association Sport understands.

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish will hold talks with club owner Randy Lerner in the next 24 hours which will decide whether he will pay the price for a season of underachievement, Press Association Sport understands.

Lerner will fly in from the United States to speak with McLeish along with chief executive Paul Faulkner in the aftermath of yesterday’s 2-0 defeat at Norwich, which was described as “woeful” by the manager.
