Del Bosque: Puyol injury a 'serious setback'

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque admits the news centre-back Carles Puyol is set to miss this summer’s European Championships with a knee injury is a major blow for the defending champions.

Barcelona announced earlier today Puyol will undergo an arthroscopy on May 12 after feeling discomfort in his right knee after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat of Espanyol with the approximate recuperation period around six weeks.
