FAI: Dublin Super Cup set to continue despite Endemol pullout

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has insisted that that the Dublin Super Cup will survive - despite confirming the withdrawal of tournament broadcasters, Endemol Sport.

The summer tournament attracted disappointing attendances to the Aviva Stadium, despite the involvement of Manchester City, Inter Milan and Celtic along with an Airtricity League selection.

The FAI this evening announced that it has reached a settlement with Endemol Sport, which will see the organisers end their involvement.

But in a statement, the FAI insisted that it intends to continue the competition after agreeing a deal with the Iconic Worldwide Events group, which was also involved in last year's tournament.
