Cahill rested for Bolton

Chelsea target Gary Cahill will be among five or six players rested for Bolton’s FA Cup third-round trip to Macclesfield tomorrow.

Trotters boss Owen Coyle was keen to stress his decision was not linked to Cahill’s probable move to Stamford Bridge and was instead a reaction to the busy festive period.
