Rogne starts for Celtic

Thomas Rogne made his first start for almost eight weeks as Celtic made two changes for the visit of Rangers in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Thomas Rogne made his first start for almost eight weeks as Celtic made two changes for the visit of Rangers in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Adam Matthews and Rogne started in place of Ki Sung-yueng and Cha Du-ri, with Georgios Samaras and James Forrest both passed fit to start.

Rangers made three changes following their defeat at St Mirren. Kirk Broadfoot, Kyle Bartley and Sone Aluko all came in while Lee McCulloch started after Rangers lodged an appeal against his red card at Paisley.

Dorin Goian missed out through suspension, Steven Whittaker failed to recover from a knock and Gregg Wylde was dropped.

Celtic: Forster, Matthews, Rogne, Mulgrew, Ledley, Brown, Kayal, Wanyama, Forrest, Samaras, Hooper. Subs: Zaluska, Kelvin Wilson, Stokes, Cha, Bangura, Ki, McCourt.

Rangers: McGregor, Broadfoot, Bartley, Bocanegra, Papac, Aluko, McCulloch, Davis, Wallace, Jelavic, Lafferty. Subs: Alexander, Weir, Edu, Fleck, Healy, Wylde, Bendiksen.
