Alonso blow for Bolton

Defender Marcos Alonso will miss Bolton’s St Stephen's Day clash against Newcastle after being ruled out for four to six weeks to undergo surgery to replace a pin in his foot.

Defender David Wheater is back in contention after he served the final game of a four-match suspension against Blackburn on Tuesday.
