Travel agents across the country have seen an increase in inquiries in recent days from Irish soccer fans trying to get tickets to Euro 2012.

The Republic of Ireland team begin their campaign on June 10 next year against Croatia.

It is expected that up to 20,000 fans will travel to Poland for the event.

The average price for flights with 10 nights accommodation in a three-star hotel is €1,500.

CEO of 747 Travel Michael Caslin said Poland was a good option for fans, being a lot easier to access than the Ukraine.
