A brilliant winner from Dinny Corcoran, his second of the night, won this seven-goal thriller at Hunky Dorys Park tonight.

David McMillan shot St Pat’s in front as early as nine minutes.

But second bottom Drogheda responded to score twice just past the half-hour mark.

First skipper Dave Rogers levelled from a penalty before Corcoran got his first of the night with a close range finish.

McMillan got his second of the game to equalise for St Pat’s a minute before the interval.

A stunning free-kick from Sean O’Connor then put St Pat’s back in front three minutes into the second half.

But Drogheda hit back again with a terrific goal five minutes later with Tiarnan Mulvenna scoring.

Corcoran then saved the best till last when his 40-yard lob beat Gary Rogers for a spectacular winner.
