Former Ireland manager Brian Kerr will not be in charge of the Faroe Islands when next year's World Cup qualifying campaign gets underway, it emerged today.

Former Ireland manager Brian Kerr will not be in charge of the Faroe Islands when next year's World Cup qualifying campaign gets underway, it emerged today.

The Faroe Islands Football Association has announced that they have been unable to agree a new contract with Kerr, whose current deal runs out at the end of next month.

The 58-year-old has recently been linked with the vacant Northern Ireland manager's job.
