Tevez 'did not refuse to play'

Carlos Tevez’s advisor has claimed a number of top Premier League stars including Cesc Fabregas “refused to play” for their clubs during the summer - but is adamant the Argentina striker did not refuse to come off the bench for Manchester City.

Kia Joorabchian also contrasted City manager Roberto Mancini’s “very direct” style with that of Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
