Bray frustrate at the Brandywell

A battling display saw Bray frustrate Derry at the Brandywell to damage the Candystripes' title ambitions.

With five across midfield, Bray stifled Derry and stunned the big home crowd to take the lead on 40 minutes when Ruaidhri Higgins headed into his own net from Wanderers' skipper Gary Dempsey's corner.

Derry pressed throughout the second half as they chased the game and they got their reward with the equaliser on 74 minutes.

Emmet Friars latched onto a long throw from Ruairi Harkin to score from 25 yards.

Stephen McLaughlin and topscorer Eamon Zayed had late chances to win it for Derry but both fired wide.
