Mulcahy out for Saints

St Patrick’s Athletic will be looking to maintain their title challenge when they take on Bohemians at Dalymount Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Victory for Pete Mahon’s side in tonight’s Dublin derby would put Saints level with leaders Sligo Rovers and Shamrock Rovers on 61 points.

Saints must plan without Dave Mulcahy who is out with a hamstring injury but Dave McMillan and Ian Bermingham could be in line to return to the squad.

Evan McMillan is a doubt as he is struggling with a calf injury.

Saints boss Pete Mahon said: "The game is a must win game for both teams for different reasons.

"For us every game from now until the end of the season is must win if we have any hope of finishing top - and even then it may not be enough.

"It's a Dublin derby and the games between sides normally have a bit of controversy.

"They had two players sent off the last time and there's always an incident or two to keep things interesting. Personally I like going to Dalymount because it's a good pitch and Pat's always bring a good crowd over so the atmosphere should be great."

Bohs will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat to UCD and may have to plan without Owen Heary who is struggling with a hamstring strain.

Liam Burns is struggling with a calf injury and remains out, while Glenn Cronin is a concern as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

And the influential midfielder still believes that Bohs are not out of the title race just yet.

Cronin said: "It's a massive game. If we win, we're right back in it.”
