Nikica Jelavic has been passed fit to start Rangers‘ Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Dunfermline.

The striker came off the bench for the midweek Scottish Communities League Cup defeat at Falkirk after being a slight injury doubt beforehand.

David Weir and Lee Wallace (both hamstring) are nearing a return to action but the trip to East End Park comes too soon, while Kyle Bartley is still a couple of weeks away from a comeback after a hernia operation.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Bocanegra, Goian, Davis, Naismith, Edu, Wylde, Lafferty, McCulloch, Jelavic, Healy, Ortiz, Broadfoot, Perry, Fleck, Alexander.
