Manchester United forwards Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck will both be pushing for starting slots alongside Wayne Rooney in tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League game at Stoke.

Hernandez has made a rapid recovery from the shin injury he sustained in last weekend’s win over Chelsea, while Welbeck returned from a hamstring problem in the midweek Carling Cup success at Leeds.

Chris Smalling (groin) is a doubt, but fellow England defender Rio Ferdinand is set to return from a calf injury.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Evans, Evra, Fabio, Jones, Smalling, Ferdinand, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Park, Valencia, Young, Berbatov, Hernandez, Owen, Rooney.
