Boyce to miss cup clash

Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce will miss tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie at Crystal Palace with a hamstring injury but should be fit to face Everton at the weekend.

New signings Shaun Maloney and Patrick van Aanholt could make their debuts while Albert Crusat might make his first start. Defenders Steve Gohouri (calf) and Antolin Alcaraz (thigh) are long-term absentees.
