Mc Crudden the only concern for Kenny

Derry City will stay top of the table with a victory over Drogheda United at the Brandywell tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Candystripes are unbeaten in their last 14 games and have a strong squad available for selection.

Michael Mc Crudden is a concern for Stephen Kenny as he is struggling with an ankle injury, but otherwise the City boss has a full squad to choose from.

Kenny said: “The players are still maintaining their high level of consistency but must continue this against a very disciplined Drogheda side.

“We will prepare professionally and expect a tough game.”

Drogheda have lost their last three league games and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Lee Lynch is doubtful after injuring his knee in Friday's defeat to Bohemians.

Alan McNally is another doubt due to a back problem, while Jack Flynn and Colin O'Brien remain out for the rest of the season.

United boss Mick Cooke said: “I am looking forward to the Brandywell. Derry City are one of the best footballing teams in the league and I expect the game to be a great spectacle for supporters.

“We have had some close games against them this season and I felt that we were unlucky not to take something from our last encounter.”
