Crouch nears Stoke move

Tottenham striker Peter Crouch has arrived at Stoke's training ground as the club attempt to push through a late deal for the England international.

Potters manager Tony Pulis has been chasing Crouch and Spurs team-mate Wilson Palacios in a double deal for a couple of weeks.

The latter's transfer appeared to be going through on its own after the Honduras international underwent a medical over the weekend.

But after a day of stalling, Crouch seems to have decided Stoke offer his best chance of regular first-team football and was driven into the Potters' Clayton Wood facility around 8pm.
