Nasri starts for Arsenal as Jenkinson handed debut

Samir Nasri started for Arsenal in this afternoon’s Barclays Premier League clash against Liverpool, despite being on the verge of a £22m move to Manchester City.

With Alex Song and Gervinho both beginning three-match bans relating to last weekend’s match at Newcastle and several other injury problems, youngster Carl Jenkinson was handed a Premier League debut at full-back, while Andrey Arshavin also came into midfield.
