McEleney strike sends Derry top

A Patrick McEleney goal stretched Derry's unbeaten league run to 13 games as they moved three points clear at the top of the for 48 hours at least.

Despite plenty of first half toil, the game really only sparked to life in the second half.

Bohs thought they'd got the lead on 66 minutes when Killian Brennan's corner was headed home by Aidan Price only for referee Neil Doyle to rule it out for pushing.

Three minutes later Derry got their winner when McEleney drove home at the back post when home keeper Barry Murphy couldn't hold an Eamon Zayed header from skipper Kevin Deery's corner.
