McGlynn out for Derry, with knee injury

Derry City will be looking to move clear at the top of the table when they travel to Dublin to take on Bohemians at Dalymount Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Candystripes travel to Dublin without the influential midfielder Gareth McGlynn who is still struggling with a knee injury.

Kevin Deery is a doubt as he recovers from a thigh strain and Ruaidhri Higgins is another doubt due to a virus.

City manager Stephen Kenny said: “The players are passing the ball really well. They’re playing with confidence and have been consistent.

“Bohemians had a good win in Sligo so we will have to be at our very best.”

Bohemians will be missing midfielder Keith Buckley as he is ruled out with a broken nose.

Stephen Traynor is also missing as he recovers from an ankle injury, although Anto Flood has returned to fitness after a month out with a shoulder injury.

The Gypsies have put together a run of five wins in six league matches since they last played Derry City.

Pat Fenlon’s side lie ten points behind Derry but have two games in hand.
