St Patrick’s Athletic and Drogheda United go head-to-head in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

Saints will look to secure a third victory over Drogheda this season. However, Pete Mahon’s side have not won in five league games.

Goalkeeper Gary Rogers and midfielder Shane McFaul return to the squad having served suspensions.

Former Shamrock Rovers midfielder Sean O’Connor is the only injury concern as he is struggling with a calf strain.

Saints assistant manager John Gill said: “Off-field matters have been well documented of late, but training has gone very well this week and there is a good vibe within the team, and the players are very positive ahead of the game.

“Obviously, we are very disappointed with the manner of the defeat last week. It was the concession of sloppy goals that cost us the game and we have been working on this at training this week as we need to cut out the individual errors.”

For Drogheda, Jack Flynn and Colm O'Brien remain out injured, while they are joined by Peter McMahon who will also miss out.

United boss Mick Cooke said: “The consistency of our recent form is possibly the most pleasing aspect of the last few weeks.

“We have managed to get seven points from three games. We did lose our concentration a little against Dundalk (conceding a late equaliser) and we were punished for it. It's something we can't do again.

“Pat’s are going to be awkward. They are going through a blip, but I'm sure they will see us as a chance to get back on track.

“They are still in with a chance of winning the league and if they win they know it will be very tight at the top. But we will be going there to upset their plans.”
