McLeish warns Villa fans over new arrivals

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has warned fans they should only expect one more signing during the summer transfer window, despite the recent sales of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young for a total of around £35m.

McLeish, who unveiled new recruit Shay Given today, is instead looking for players from the club’s academy, or those who have been frozen out under previous management, to fill the gaps left in his squad.
