Bray bounced back to winning ways after four stragiht defeats to beat UCD for the third time this season.

Defender Sean Houston headed home captain Gary Dempsey's free-kick to give the Seagulls the ideal start after just two minutes.

Bray doubled that lead on 24 minutes with a fortuitous second goal when a shot from winger Jake Kelly took a strong deflection off team-mate Chris Shields to beat Ger Barron in the College goal.

UCD battled back into the game in the second half and scored on 56 minutes when their captain Michael Leahy connected with Paul Corry's superbly flighted free-kick to head to the net.

But it was Bray who might have added to their winning margin on 72 minutes when substitute John Mulroy was off target with a header from a Dempsey corner.
