Sunderland midfielder joins Turkish club on loan

Sunderland have confirmed midfielder Cristian Riveros has joined Turkish club Kayserispor on a year’s loan.

The deal has been in the pipeline for some time, but Kayserispor have posted pictures of the 28-year-old Paraguay international putting pen to paper on their official website.

Riveros, who joined the Black Cats on a free transfer from Mexican outfit Cruz Azul last summer when he signed a three-year contract, has made just 14 appearances for the club, only seven of them in the starting line-up.
