Nightmare debut for Collins Jnr as Monaghan concede five

A hat-trick from Jeffrey Judge eased Limerick into the last four of the EA Sports Cup at Jackman Park this evening.
With Friday's top-of-the-table league clash with Shelbourne in mind, Monaghan boss Roddy Collins elected to field an under-strength side which included a debut for his son Roddy Jnr in defence.
Midfielder Judge struck for the lead goal after just six minutes when finishing off Stephen McGann’s cross.
Thomas Lyons then slotted home a penalty to double the lead nine minutes before the break.
Judge scored his second to make it 3-0 ten minutes into the second half to end the game as a contest when he fired home following a good advantaged played by referee Graham Kelly after a foul on Paudie Quinn.
Judge completed his hat-trick on 65 minutes with Garbhan Coughlan adding the fifth eight minutes later.
