Galway United and St Patrick’s Athletic meet in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Terryland Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Tribesmen have lost their last 12 league fixtures and were beaten 4-0 by Shamrock Rovers on Friday.

And United boss Sean Connor must plan without Alan Murphy (hamstring), Shaun Maher (achilles), Sean Kelly (knee), Joe Yoffe (ankle) and suspended Stephen Walsh.

Jonathan Keane is unavailable after picking up a knee injury on his debut against Bray Wanderers.

Galway manager Connor said: "It's another difficult game, we seem to be getting no luck with injuries and suspensions. But we can't feel sorry for ourselves, we've just got to keep going and hopefully our luck will turn."

Saints will be boosted by the news that skipper Conor Kenna (knee) has returned to training after almost four months absence.

Derek Pender remains out with a foot injury, while Ian Bermingham is suspended.

Brian Shortall (virus), Dave Mulcahy (knee) and Derek Doyle (cut) are all doubts ahead of the game.

St Pat’s boss Pete Mahon said: “This will be a tough match that we will have to approach with caution.

“Galway have to win a game sometime and we have to try and make sure that it’s not tomorrow.

“We’re heading into the third round of the league now and I have a set number of points in my head that I’d like us to reach, which would put us in with a great chance going into the last series of games.”
