Fagan downs Wanderers
Bray Wanderers 1 Bohemians 2
Christy Fagan poached two goals as Bohemians won for the first time in four games to end Bray’s six-match unbeaten run.
A slow-burner of a game finally came alive on 35mins when Bray’s John Mulroy flashed a header wide from a Dane Massey cross.
But it was Bohs who took the lead a minute later.
Killian Brennan won a corner with a stinging shot that produced a finger tip save from Matt Gregg.
The Bray keeper could then only parry a header from Fagan from Brennan’s cross following a short corner and the striker scooped home the rebound.
Fagan then struck to punish a dreadful error within two minutes of the second half.
Shane O’Connor’s back header fell short and Fagan nipped in ahead of Gregg to toe the ball home.
A goal from a deflected shot by Bray skipper Gary Dempsey on 79mins made for a grandstand finish.
Conor Murphy might have levelled in the final minute but shot wide as Bohs held out for a timely win.
