Quinn defends Sunderland ambitions

Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has moved to reassure the club’s fans of its ambition as Jordan Henderson closes in on his £20m switch to Liverpool.

The Black Cats last night reached agreement with the Reds over their Academy graduate and gave him permission to discuss personal terms.
