Candystripes fall in the shock of the round

Danny Furlong scored a hat-trick as Wexford Youths dumped Derry City out of the FAI Ford Cup on a stunning scoreline in the shock of the third round at Ferrycarrig Park last night.

Furlong put Youths in front on 32 minutes and then added a second from a penalty in first half stoppage time to leave Derry reeling.

Ben Ryan put the game beyond Derry with a third on 71 minutes before Furlong completed his treble nine minutes later.

Eamon Zayed got Derry's consolation goal in the final minute.
