Kebe joins Long in hunt for Premier League place
Influential winger Jimmy Kebe passed a fitness test on a thigh injury to take his place in Reading’s starting XI for the npower Championship play-off final against Swansea.
Kebe, ruled out of the last six matches, was Brian McDermott’s only change to the side who overcome Cardiff 3-0 in the second leg of their semi-final triumph.
Swansea counterpart Brendan Rodgers kept faith with the line-up which saw off Nottingham Forest 3-1 in the second leg of their semi.
That meant defender Alan Tate and Leon Britton lined up at Wembley just eight years after helping the south Wales club avoid relegation from the Football League altogether.
