Bray travel to Drogheda with four injured players

Drogheda United will be looking to build on Thursday’s victory as they take on Bray Wanderers at Hunky Dorys Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Brian Gannon returns to the squad after pulling out of Thursday’s game due to the birth of his child.

United boss Mick Cooke said: “The win on Thursday night was a big boost for us, especially in the manner which we did it.

“Going a goal down the players showed a lot of character to get back into it and to be honest I thought we could have got three or four.

“It's going to be a tough game, playing again so quickly but everyone is up for it. Bray are a very good side and they will be difficult to beat, but we will certainly be going into the game with confidence.”

Bray’s injury list continues to grow as Jake Kelly joins Darren Quigley, Gary Shaw and Stephen Brennan on the sidelines.

There are also doubts about Gary Dempsey, Chris Shields and John Mulroy who all picked up injuries in the win over Shamrock Rovers on Friday.

Conor Murphy is on duty with the Ireland Under-19s and will also be absent.

Dave Webster and Shane O'Neill return to the squad having missed Bray's last two outings.

Bray’s Director of Football Pat Devlin said: "No side has a divine right to win matches. Drogheda will be buoyed by their excellent win over Galway on Friday night and there will be no complacency on our part.”
