Call for FIFA election to be scrapped

The UK's Sports minister Hugh Robertson today called for the FIFA presidential election to be suspended saying the corruption scandal has turned the campaign into “a farce”.

Sepp Blatter and Mohamed Bin Hammam will both appear before FIFA’s ethics committee on Sunday, just three days before the election.
