Bray do the double over Rovers
Bray Wanderers 1 Shamrock Rovers 0
Jake Kelly was the pride of the Carlisle Grounds as his second half winner sunk champions Shamrock Rovers as the home side triumphed over the visitors for the second time this season.
Though they dominated for good spells, there was to be no happy return for Rovers to the venue where they clinched the title last October.
The game's only strike came against the run of play on 64 minutes when Kelly collected skipper Gary Dempsey's pass to rifle a shot past Alan Mannus.
The defeat blows the title race wide open as there are now six teams withing three points of Rovers at the top of the table.
