Precious win for Drogs
Galway United 1 Drogheda United 2
Two goals in five minutes saw Drogheda come from behind to win for the first time this season and leapfrog Galway off the foot of the table.
Drogheda started well but fell behind on 23 minutes when Mikey Gilmore beat Stephen Trimble from Shane Keogh's pass.
But Mick Cooke's Boynesiders remained well in the game and they turned the game on its head midway through the second half.
Substitute Darragh Hanaphy levelled on 63 minutes when shooting home Darragh McNamara's pull back.
Four minutes later Mark O'Brien controlled a free-kick from Colin O'Brien to bring a parry save from Greg Fleming, but the ball ran straight back to O'Brien to rifle it home to give Drogheda a deserved first win of the campaign.
