Giovanni Trapattoni is infuriated by Celtic striker Anthony Stokes’ decision to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland squad because of tiredness.

The Italian expressed bemusement this afternoon when asked why Stokes had made himself unavailable for all four forthcoming international fixtures.
