Doyle on fire as Sligo overcome Bray

In-form Eoin Doyle scored a hat-trick as Sligo got back to winning ways to move up to third in the table.

Sligo’s started brightly and got their reward on 13 minutes: Bray keeper Matt Gregg failed to collect Alan Kirby’s cross and Doyle headed into the unguarded net.

A defensive blunder at the other end on the half hour gifted Bray an equaliser. Jason McGuinness failed to get enough purchase on his header back to ‘keeper Ciaran Kelly and Conor Murphy was alert to the chance to tap home.

Doyle put Sligo back in front on 59 minutes and fired home from a Daryl Horgan pass.

Nine minutes later, Doyle completed his hat-trick when controlling John Dillon’s cross on his chest to shoot past Gregg for his sixth goal in five games.
