Malouda: Chelsea must prove they want me

Chelsea forward Florent Malouda wants the club to show he is “important” to them by offering him an extension to his current contract.

Reports have surfaced suggesting the France winger could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer and despite having a contract with the reigning champions until 2013, the 30-year-old hopes to add an extra year to that deal.
