Dillon strikes derby decider

John Dillon scored his fourth goal in three games to move Paul Cook's Sligo up to second place in the Premier Division table.

The western derby's only goal came on 29 minutes. John Russell worked the opening to cross from the left and Dillon shot past home keeper Greg Fleming.

Fleming kept Galway in the game in the second half with a good stop from Russell while Dillon shot against a post and Aaron Greene had an effort cleared off the Galway line.
