Pair missing for Derry City
Derry City travel to Hunky Dorys Park to take on winless Drogheda United in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash (kick-off 7.45pm).
City must plan without Eddie McCallion and Stewart Greacen for the trip to Louth.
McCallion is ruled out through suspension, while Greacen is out with a broken hand.
Kevin Deery and Thomas McBride are included in the matchday squad and are likely to feature at some stage.
Derry City manager Stephen Kenny said: “Drogheda have only conceded two goals in two games. They are set up to defend while they have some experienced attacking players who did well for Shelbourne last year.”
David Quirke is the only injury worry for Mick Cooke’s United ahead of the match against Derry.
The keeper played with a groin injury against Bohemians and sub keeper Mark Trimble is ready to step in. Trimble signed for Drogheda from Shels last week.
United boss Mick Cooke said: “I was very happy with our performance last week against Bohemians, though obviously not pleased with the result.
“However, it was great to be in Dalymount and especially encouraging for me that we remained in the game for the last 20 minutes, still creating chances.
“Derry are a good footballing side and both enthusiastic squads should make for an entertaining night’s football.
“I'd be quietly confident and I'd be happy if we got a point to get us off the mark.”
