Gibson and O'Shea to feature for United

John O’Shea and Darron Gibson are both surprise starts in Manchester United’s starting line-up to face Arsenal in this evening’s FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford.

Alex Ferguson sprung a major surprise by naming seven defenders in the side, including Brazilian twins Rafael and Fabio.

Antonio Valencia was handed a place on the bench after being out since September with a broken ankle.

Bidding to resurrect their own season, Arsenal’s line-up is stronger, with Andrey Arshavin included instead of injured skipper Cesc Fabregas, with Robin van Persie the only striker following his red card in Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
