Rooney cleared for Chelsea clash
Wayne Rooney has been cleared to play in Manchester United’s crucial Premier League showdown with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Rooney has escaped further punishment after catching Wigan’s James McCarthy in the head with his elbow at the DW Stadium at the weekend.
Ryan Giggs is battling to overcome a hamstring strain but Alex Ferguson said on Saturday that none of his other walking wounded will be available for the Premier League leaders.
